The Department of Defence Accounts and Budget (DDAB) is responsible for the management of all financial matters in DHQ. The Department is also to advise the CDS on all financial matters in line with Government Financial Regulations. It coordinates the preparation of the annual budget of DHQ, and ensures that proper books of accounts are maintained. It is headed by the Chief of Defence Accounts and Budget.
