The Directorate of Special Operations Force (DSOF) was established to deal with the contemporary asymmetric threats and challenges in the country. It generates Forces in liaison with the 3 Services and organizes/conducts SOF training both locally and abroad. It ensures interoperability of equipment, training tactics and weaponry among SOF troops of the 3 Services. It is headed by the Director Special Operations Force (D SOF).
