Air Chief Marshal Alex Sabundu Badeh is a Qualified Flying Instructor and has accumulated over 6000 flying hours on the Bulldog 123, Dornier 128-6, Dornier 228 Hawker Sydney 125, Hawker Sydney 1000, Falcon 900 and Gulfstream 5 airplanes. Air Chief Marshal Badeh has extensive experience in international Flight Operation and has flown to all the continents of the world. Air Chief Marshal Badeh attended the Junior Staff Course at the Armed Force Command and Staff College Jaji in 1988, and the Senior Course at same institution between 1995 and 1996. He attended the National War College Nigeria as a member of Course 14 and graduated in August 2006. He obtained MSc Strategic Studies from the University of Ibadan in 2007. Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh has held several appointments, among which are Staff Officer 2 Operations and Command Training Officer at Headquarters Training Command Kaduna in 1992 and 1994 respectively. While at the Presidential Air Fleet he held the appointment of Commanding Officer Administration, Operational Support and Operations Wings. He later Commanded the Presidential Air Fleet from June 2002 to 25 October 2004. He was at different times the Deputy Director of Training and the Director of Research at the Defence Headquarters. Air Chief Marshal Alex Sabundu Badeh was a Directing Staff and later became the Director National Military Strategy at the National Defence College. He served as the Chief of Policy and Plans at Headquarters Nigerian Air Force between October 2010 and March 2012 and thereafter, as the Air Officer Commanding Training Command, Kaduna between March 2012 and October 2012. He was appointed the Chief of the Air Staff on 4 October 2012, a position he held until his appointment as the Chief of Defence Staff on 16 Jan 14. His decoration are CFR, DFS, DSS, psc, fdc (+), Msc. Air Chief Marshal Badeh is happily married to Mrs Mary lyah Badeh and they blessed with 3 children; two boys and a girl as well as a grandson Alex III. His hobbies include watching and playing the name of Golf.
